Scholarship
The Josep M. Portús Archaeology Scholarship, organized by L’Esquerda Private Foundation, together with the IQAP group of companies and in memory of Josep M. Portús i Vinyeta, was held for four consecutive editions, from 2005 to 2008.
Its general objective was to promote and stimulate archaeological research in any field and subject, and to facilitate relations and exchanges between students and universities, companies, and national and international research centres.
The scholarship was intended for students, graduates, or PhDs in any branch of history or any other higher education, who wanted to further their specialized training in archaeology and methods of archaeological analysis. Preferably, the training had to be abroad, in a university, research centre, or specialized company. The duration of the scholarship was one year and the prize was €12,000.
